Upcoming ISSF shoot 28th&29th of June

Dear EPC members,

We engage in the sport of target pistol shooting in the form of practice, bullet development and of course competitions.

Competitions operate at various levels, from our club competitions every week, to regional competitions and state/ national competitions.
Our competitions have the same rules that we follow at all levels and of course our basic sequence of fire is the same as well. (Excluding additional finals etc at national level.)
Most of the competitions are shot with the shooters competing against others of the same grade level. This keeps it fun as well.

At a shoot such as the "Emerald Open" and the "Central Queensland Regional" competitions you will find yourself competing (and having fun with) mostly the same people you shoot with every Sunday and maybe a few new friends from other clubs.
I often hear comments such as "I am not good enough to compete in this competition". This line of thought is incorrect.
Most of the competitors at these competitions are shooters just like you and are there to have fun. (And maybe beat a mate . . . )
At these competitions there are often a number of really good "A" grade shooters as well and for the most part they are happy to help other shooters.
The range officers running the shoot always do their best to assist if you have an issue with the match or your firearm. No fuss, they are great people.
We also have a lot of great social interaction between matches and some of the catered food is pretty dam good.
Attending an E.P.C. competition you don't even have to travel to another venue, you get to shoot on your own range at your own club.
Nobody will force you out of your comfort level, but if you can help with patching or running score sheets etc then that would be appreciated.    Or not . . . if you are busy.

SO . . . . . Members  . . . . I would like to have you come along and participate in your favorite matches and maybe even try a match you have not shot before.
Free pistol, Air Pistol, Standard, Sport Pistol 25m, Rapid Fire, etc.
Let me know if you don't have a gun for a particular discipline as we also have club guns that are FREE to members to "Hire"
Nomination is cheap.

We have an ISSF competition coming up soon and many of your friends will be going, how about you join them. we would love to see you there.

Regards Bob

New Indoor Air Pistol Range

The Emerald Pistol Club would like to thank the Central Highlands Regional Council and the Community Grants Program for considering and approving our application for the purchase of 6 air pistol target returns.

This has enabled to club to reach a stage where we can now apply to have the range approved for use which is the last step in the long process of building our new air pistol shed and range.
